This special signed cover commemorates the Platinum Jubilee and the 70th anniversary of the accession of HM Queen Elizabeth II. Its eight stamps draw inspiration from phrases in the national anthem, God Save the Queen, and show different aspects of the Queen’s reign and public duties.[1]
The issue text was written by royal author Lady Colin Campbell and the stamps were designed by EJC Design. They were printed by bpost using four-colour offset lithography on 110 gsm PVA-gummed paper. Each stamp measures 40 × 40 mm, is perforated 13 per 2 cm and was issued in sheets of ten.[1]
This version was personally signed by Lady Colin Campbell and limited to 250 individually numbered covers.[2] This example is number 10 of 250. At approximately 149 × 210 mm, the signed cover is larger than the approximately 128 × 189 mm standard cover. Its accompanying information sheet is enlarged proportionally.
The eight PVA-gummed stamps are cancelled with blue first-day-of-issue postmarks dated 6 February 2022.
