SG 3p is the 4d ultramarine Isle of Man regional definitive depicting Queen Elizabeth II, issued on 5 July 1967. Its distinguishing feature is two phosphor bands.[2]

The design is credited to John Hobson Nicholson and the portrait to Dorothy Wilding Ltd.. Harrison and Sons printed the stamps by photogravure. Perforation is 15 × 14, and the sheet format is 240 stamps (12 × 20). The stamp has the Multiple Crowns watermark, consisting of repeated images of St. Edward's Crown.[1]

This version has two phosphor bands and is separately listed from the ordinary 4d stamp.[2]

Although issued as regional stamps, they were initially valid for postage throughout the United Kingdom. This stamp ceased to be valid for postage on 1 March 1972, when Isle of Man SG 1–7 were invalidated alongside other British pre-decimal stamps.[2]

  • IM-SG-3 — standard listing; issued 7 February 1966
