SG76 is the 7p stamp in this Isle of Man issue, released on 12 March 1976.[1]

The design shows Christian carrying the Fincastle Resolutions towards Williamsburg. The information sheet describes the county meeting of 20 January 1775 and the subsequent delivery and publication of the resolutions.[2]

The image is a cancelled ordinary stamp detail from the collector’s Isle of Man – Bicentenary of American Revolution and Colonel William Christian Commemoration – Official stamp set cover – 1976. It is not a scan of a miniature-sheet constituent stamp. The miniature sheet repeats the design with perforation 14, whereas the ordinary stamp is perforated 13½.
