This catalogue entry records a se-tenant strip of three 5p stamps from the Europa Ceramic Art issue of 28 July 1976, comprising IM-SG-84, IM-SG-85, IM-SG-86. It records the joined strip, not an additional stamp design.[1]

Production and sheet arrangement

The six stamps were issued on 28 July 1976 for Europa, with ceramic art as their subject. They were designed by J. Nicholson and printed by Courvoisier using photogravure, in multicolour on granite paper, perforated 11½. Each denomination was printed in sheets of nine (3 × 3). The three designs occur se-tenant both horizontally and vertically, with three examples of each design in a sheet.[1]

Sales information

The catalogue gives 256,400 sold of each constituent 5p design. This is not a stated sales quantity for complete strips. The 5p stamps sold out on 20 November 1976; this date describes the constituent stamps.[1]
