Young Peregrine Falcons – Migration now and then was issued by Liechtenstein on 10 November 2025 as a joint issue with Gibraltar. This owned official first day cover carries the two Liechtenstein CHF 1.90 stamps, LI-Mi-2195A and LI-Mi-2196A. Philatelie Liechtenstein lists the cover under product reference 225.19.52.[1][2]
Designs and production
The designs depict a perched juvenile peregrine falcon and adult falcons flying over an Alpine landscape. The official shop lists the pair as Michel 2195–2196 A and supplies the production details recorded above.[3]
The brochure specifies FSC stamp paper weighing 110 g/m², with gum.[2]
The owned cover
The cover is unaddressed. Its cachet depicts a juvenile falcon against a mountain landscape and bears the inscriptions “Der junge Wanderfalke – Migration früher und heute”, “Gemeinschaftsausgabe Liechtenstein – Gibraltar” and “Amtlicher Ersttagsbrief”.
The pictorial cancellation reads “Ersttag 10. November 2025” and “9490 Vaduz”, surrounding a flying falcon. The official brochure credits Jonathan Pointer with its design and records a size of 32 mm.[2]
The reverse of the cover is blank. This copy contains no information card.
Although the issue was produced jointly with Gibraltar, this particular cover carries only Liechtenstein stamps and a Liechtenstein cancellation.
